Welcome to SiMolde housing!

We are an independent company established by law to look after the welfare of the students at Molde University College, HiMolde.

We offer a lot more than housing! Have a look around our website to see our other services ✅

Some important information:

Your tenancy agreement includes your address here in Molde, under part “2. Property”.

Please note part “5. Duration” in the agreement. As exchange students with a housing guarantee you cannot terminate your agreement while in Molde.

This means that your agreement ends on 31st December even if you move out prior to this date, and you will be reliable for rent until the end of your agreement. The standard start date for all our agreements are 1st August.

Below you will also find our rules, these are an addition to the rights and obligations settled in the tenancy agreement.

  • Please note that we do not accept cash as rent payments. For rent you can pay through a payment solution called WISE. You will receive an invoice with payment instructions right before your arrival.
  • The due date for all rents are the first of every month. Your first rent is due 1st August, and is for the period 01.08-31.08.
  • Just a heads up – Norway in general is quite cashless. A debit or credit card that works in Norway is highly recommended.

You are able to pick up the keys whenever you arrive. We will either arrange for someone to meet you with the keys when you arrive, or we will leave them in a key box we have at our housing. You will receive information about how and where to get the keys at the latest the day before your arrival.

Please fill out this form before 22nd July https://nettskjema.no/a/569620 with your arrival information.

❗ We are out of office for the summer holiday from 3rd July until 20th July. You will not receive any response from us during this time.

If you arrive by plane you can travel to the housing by bus or taxi. For the bus you can read more and plan your travel here frammr.no. If you live at Britvegen og Mekvegen Bus nr 701 will take you all the way from the airport to the housing. For Glomstuvegen you have to change to bus 702 at the city center. Please note that the bus is not the easiest travel option from Molde Airport. Even if it is a bit more expensive, I would recommend taking a taxi. Here are the two different taxi operators in Molde MoldeTaxi and SwiftTaxi.

Our housing is furnished, but equipment like kitchen utensils, pots, plates, cups etc., bed linen, or towels are not included. We do, however, have options for the kitchen equipment and bed linen.

In your shared flat equipment will be available in your kitchen.

On your key there is a yellow chip. The yellow chip gives you access to a storage room where you can pick up the equipment you need. It’s free, but you have to put the equipment you take back when you move out.

The storage room is located in the basement (floor -2) of building D in Britvegen. There will be a sign on the door with: “Kitchen equipment”.

You can pick up a box with the necessary equipment in the living room on the first floor. You don’t have to pay for it, but you have to put what you take back when you move out.

You can rent bed linen sets for 700NOK for your entire stay.

The set includes:

  • 1 duvet
  • 1 pillow
  • 1 set of bed linen

You can also bring your own or buy it from any store here upon your arrival.

The fee of 700NOK is added to your invoice in September.

The deadline for booking a bed linen set is 20th July.

Book yours here

We do not provide towels, you have to bring or buy your own.
