Unfortunately it is hard for us to say something about spots at the waiting list.
We promise that you will receive feedback as soon as we have housing to offer you. We do what we can to make sure as many of you as possible are allocated housing!
That’s usually not a problem! Reach out to us by sending a message via hybel.no and we’ll find a solution.
You will have to pay rent from the day you move in.
Yes, that’s not a problem! But, please note that you do have to pay rent from the day your contract starts – even if you move in at a later time.
If it’s more than 2 weeks after your contract start date we would appreciate that you let us know so we don’t get concerned! Send us a message at hybel.no if that’s the case.
The key can be handed over to our operations manager after the checkout, or in one of our mailboxes at the different housings if you move outside our opening hours. Read more about moving out here.
All tenants are sent an offer for renewal of their contract in April each year. You will then have the opportunity to renew your contract for another year.
If you are not sent an offer you might have exceeded your maximum residency – check our allocations regulations for more info.
You can cancel your agreement by sending us a message at hybel.no. It is important that you send it as a message through there, so we can add it to your contract in the system.
Please note that exchange students and degree-seeking students here with a housing guarantee cannot terminate their agreement. See your tenancy agreements for more information.
Don’t forget, there is a 2 month termination period. The termination period applies from the first day in the month after the termination is received. If you send your termination at i.e. 10th October, your termination period starts on 1st November, and your agreement ends on 31st December.
The rent follows your termination period. The termination period is 2 month, and you have to pay rent for the whole period. If you send your termination at i.e. 10th October, your termination period starts on 1st November, and your agreement ends on 31st December.

Everyone that is a student, or is a soon-to-be student, at Molde University College can apply for student housing.
If we have vacant housing and no students on our waiting list, other “non-student” can rent with us. If so, a 20% surcharge is added to the rent.
All applicants must be over 18 years old.
If you have signed a tenancy agreement you can cancel your agreement up until 25th July without any financial consequences. Remember that a signed tenancy agreement is legally binding. If you do not cancel the agreement within 25th July the normal termination period of 2 months applies, and you are responsible for rent during the termination period.
