FAQ opening week
Week 33, August 11th – August 16th
Wednesday, August 11th at 11am at Bjørnsonhuset.
We are arranging free buses from Campus at 10:15am to take you to the opening ceremony. Employees wearing t-shirts will guide you and be available to answer your questions both on the bus and at Bjørnsonhuset. Don’t hesitate to ask them for help!
Attendance is not mandatory, but we encourage everyone to participate as much as possible. This is a great opportunity to get to know your fellow students.

Apart from that, you do not need to register for the various activities, as they are all included in the wristband. If limited space is available for any of the activities, it will be clearly indicated in the marketing.
After the welcoming ceremony at Bjørnsonhuset, the bus takes you back to Molde University College. There, you will get to meet your buddies and your buddy group.
Don’t worry! We have designated buddy coordinators who will follow up on the groups and assign them accordingly. Contact us or speak to any of us wearing the opening week t-shirt and we’ll sort it out!
We recommend purchasing a wristband so that you can participate in as many activities as possible. Wristbands are required for entry to, amongst other things, the silent disco and the stand-up comedy.
The price is 350 NOK + plus a fee of 30 NOK.

If you are unable to purchase through the link, you can buy the wristband in the bookstore located in the A building from August 10th.
We recommend that you buy it as early as possible.
It will be great! When you sign up for Orientation Week, you will have the opportunity to join an alcohol-free buddy group, where you can meet fellow students and buddies who do not drink alcohol.
In addition, this year’s buddies have received thorough buddy training and are expected to respect that some people choose not to drink alcohol for various reasons. We have created a diverse program with a range of activities where alcohol will not be the main focus, and during the pub crawl, mocktails will also be available for purchase.
