Get to know our kindergarten
It is good to be in Anestua kindergarten, and there is a lot to learn!
Anestua barnehage is a kindergarten owned by the Student Welfare Organization in Molde (SiMolde). The kindergarten was established in 1994. Students at Molde University College have priority in admission, and the kindergarten is well adapted to student life.
The kindergarten is divided into 3 departments for children aged 0-6 years and is located in a nice outdoor area near the University College, Kvam primary school and the student housing on Campus and Kvam (Mekvegen). There are great hiking opportunities in the kindergarten’s immediate surroundings. We aim to be a high-quality kindergarten that emphasizes play, care and learning. We want to be the first choice for student parents, but we have a good offer for everyone.
Here is a little more information about each individual department:
Blåbærtua consists of 19 children aged 3-6, and four good adults with their heads and hearts for the children. Our department is located on the first floor of Anestua.
At Blåbærtua, we have a strong focus on life skills and sustainability. We ensure that this is a safe place to be and that children can learn to take care of themselves, each other and nature. Once a week, we take the children for a trip in the local area, where they will experience nature and get to know nature’s diversity. In the spring we have a bumblebee project where we sow plants that will create a habitat to support the bumblebee and bee population.
We want the children to be challenged to different aspects of interaction, community and friendship. The adults in the department are close to them in everyday life and support the children in mastering interaction, adversity, dealing with challenges and getting to know their own feelings. Once a week we have a heart-meeting, where the children gain experience in developing language, and skills to speak up about the big and the small things, and about what is good and what can be difficult.
At the same time, we find it important that children have their own input in their everyday life based on the children’s assumptions, perspectives and experiences in the community. Themes and activities are made visible through monthly newsletters in advance, and photo documentation afterwards.
Through continuous reflections on their own practices, and feedback from children and adults, the staff constantly seeks to create a better everyday life and pedagogy.
At Kongla we make sure that the children feel safe and well. The adults are close to the children by sitting on the floor and being available, as well as supporting each individual child in their development.
We divide the children into age groups across the departments, both planned and spontaneous, in order to be able to offer activities that are adapted to the children’s age and maturity. This year we are working on using various elements of sustainability with the little ones. The focus is on activities and themes that, in a simple way, give the children an initial experience of sustainability in everyday life.
