Want student discounts?
Students are not exactly the ones with the most disposable income. Let’s be honest; oatmeal is a good breakfast – but it is maybe eaten mainly because it is cheap? By buying the student card, you can save hundreds of kroner during the academic year and maybe afford a little egg and bacon every now and then.
All students can buy a studentcard (studentoblat) – which is now an actual membership card. To get the discounts, you show your oblat and your student ID at the relevant businesses.
The studentcard costs 350 NOK and is valid until August 1st, 2025.
Tip! Students with positions in various accosiations get the card for free.
From August 14th, 2024, it will be possible to buy the card at SiMolde Bok on campus or directly from iStudent. We will advertise dates when it is possible to buy from iStudent.
The studentcard is only valid for the person who paid for it – so you will not be able to pay for others using this sticker.
The card will be printed as soon as possible after you have purchased it, but in busy times, you should expect about a week of production time 😊

- Molde Kino: Movie ticket for 125 NOK (only valid for kiosk purchases)

- Boys of Europe: -10% on all products

– 10% on all products
- Fole Godt: -25% on bread and pastries + coffee and tea
- Cafe Opus: -20% discount on everything (does not apply to alcoholic beverages)
- Glass: -25% discount on pizza, only applies Monday-Thursday until 8:00
- Smile Thai og Sushi: -15% discount on all Thai main dishes, vegetarian and sushi menus
- Mix Storgata: -25% discount on burgers and milkshakes

- Molde taxi: fixed price (see table) and -10% on all trips outside the fixed price scheme

The studentcard is developed by iStudent, the Student Society at the College. Not only do you save money as a student by purchasing the studentcard, but the revenue from the sale goes back to iStudent – which focuses on organizing social and cultural activities for you as a student. In other words, a win-win situation!
